On 17 August 2018, the Selangor Water Management Authority (LUAS) held a Tree Planting Program with the Director of LUAS, Dato 'Ir. Hashim bin Osman at Off River Storage (ORS), Bestari Jaya. ORS Kampung Hang Tuah has been made the Education Site, Water Sports Training and Water Resources Recreation of the State of Selangor officially on 21 February 2018. In line with the development in this area, tree planting is one of the initiatives from the Board in improving the image of ORS Kampung Hang Tuah as a new attraction to the local community. All Board staff are involved in planting a total of 500 saplings in the area. The type of sapling that is planted is Gaharu Tree or another name, Agarwood. One of the main purposes of this program is to spend time and strengthen friendships and get to know each other better. In addition to improving the image, the need to plant more trees is beneficial in reducing the effects of hot and dry weather that is plaguing the country at the moment.
