Introduction

The Selangor Water Management Authority (LUAS) Anti -Corruption Strategic Plan (PSPR) 2016 - 2018 involves a period of three (3) years drafted together with the Malaysian Anti -Corruption Commission (MACC) in line with LUAS's intention to ensure that each officer / staff performs their duties. full of integrity. The PSPR was formulated in an integrated manner as an internal effort by LUAS to combat corruption from the grassroots level to the management level of LUAS 'own organization.

The objective of PSPR LUAS 2015-2018 was created to increase awareness and strengthen the level of integrity of every LUAS citizen. What is contained in this PSPR is the implementation of appropriate programs and activities to inculcate the values of virtue and integrity, especially in combating negative behavior including corruption, abuse of power and malpractice.

INTEGRATED COASTAL MANAGEMENT (ICM) PLAN IN THE STATE OF SELANGORThe Port Klang Integrated Coastal Management Project (ICM-Integrated Coastal Management) is a technical cooperation program between the Selangor State Government and the Partnerships in Environmental Management for the Seas of East Asia (PEMSEA) through a Memorandum of Agreement in 2001.Port Klang (covering the districts of Klang and Kuala Langat) has been selected as the National Demonstration Site for the ICM Project. The Selangor Water Management Authority (LUAS) acts as the Project Management Office while the Klang Municipal Council (MPK) and Kuala Langat District Council (MDKL) as the Local Authorities (PBT) are directly involved and implement it in addition to Government departments and agencies related, private sector and NGOs. This plan has been adopted by the Selangor State Government after obtaining approval through the State Executive Council (MMKN) which met on 24 July 2007.Integrated Coastal Management (ICM) is a natural resource and environmental management framework that uses an integrative, holistic approach and interactive planning process in addressing complex management issues in coastal areas.The main purpose of the ICM is to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of coastal governance in terms of its ability to achieve the sustainable use of coastal resources and services produced by ecosystems in coastal areas. It aims to do this by protecting the functional integrity of this natural resource system, while enabling economic development to continue. Through integrated planning, ICM aims to address conflicts and competing conflicts arising from various uses of limited space and resources.  

IRBM Plan

IntroductionThe concept of Integrated River Basin Management (IRBM) was identified by the DID more than 10 years ago but the implementation of the IRBM concept is relatively slow among government agencies. Therefore, the Prime Minister at that time had directed the establishment of the Selangor Water Management Authority (LUAS) in 1999 at the Selangor State level as an institutional model that would play an important role in the integrated management of river basins and water resources management. In the 8MP (2001-2005), the Third Perspective Summary Plan (OPP3) 2001-2010 (approved by Parliament in April 2001) and the National Spatial Plan have incorporated the concept of IRBM into the plan.The problem of environmental pollution in Malaysia occurs a lot in river basins. There are many rivers that have low levels of water quality and high silt content as a result of heavy metal pollution, toxic waste, agricultural activities and daily activities of the surrounding population. Loss of biodiversity in catchment areas due to pollution and flood disasters in river basins due to land use changes. In addition, the problem of lack of water supply will occur during the dry season. The causes of this problem are very wide and complex. Among the main reasons is because the management of the river basin at this time is broken down according to the jurisdiction of the respective agencies including enforcement powers.Therefore, integrated river basin management is important to create coordination between agencies in the management of water resources and the environment in the future.The overall objective of the project is to cover aspects of protection, conservation, and integrated management of river basins in Peninsular Malaysia. Therefore, to achieve these objectives, good coordination between federal and state agencies in providing technical support for the development of models and guidelines for river basin management.
