Selangor State of River Report

IntroductionThe purpose of publishing the State Of The River Report ’SOR is to update and analyze information on water resources and river basin management in the State of Selangor. Information and data are obtained from various agencies and stakeholders.The purpose of publishing this report is to increase public awareness on the conservation and preservation of water resources as well as to report the latest quantity and quality status for the Klang, Selangor and Langat rivers.Efforts have been made by all agencies and stakeholders in addressing various challenges to improve river water quality. Water resources management includes aspects of quality and quantity of pollution sources, solid waste management methods, inland waterway navigation, recreation, public awareness programs.LUAS publishes the ‘State Of The River Report’ of Sungai Selangor, Sungai Langat and Sungai Klang every 3 years.
