FRIENDS OF RIVERS (FOR)
- The State Executive Council (MMKN) on 25 January 2019 has approved the establishment of the Rivers Conservation Implementation Committee in the State of Selangor chaired by the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Infrastructure and Public Facilities and the Board as the secretariat.
- One of the river conservation initiatives introduced through this committee is the creation of Friends of Rivers (FoR) in every river in the State of Selangor.
OBJECTIVE FRIENDS OF RIVERS (FOR)
- To increase the community's awareness and love for the importance of rivers in the State of Selangor and the preservation of ecosystems.
- Sense of ownership and responsibility among the community towards the river.
- Collaborate with the local community in implementing river conservation programs/activities consistently.
- Creating a clean, cheerful and safe river environment to visit.
