Selangor State Assembly Council (MMKN) has approved the amendment of the Selangor Waters Management Authority (LUAS) Licensing Regulation 2024 known as the Selangor Water Management Authority (Licensing) (Amendment) Regulations 2024 which came into force on 20 June 2024 [Sel. P.U 20/2024 ].

This amendment was made because:
- Drafting of New regulations which are Regulations for the Discharge of Return Water, and Entry or Discharge of Waste and Pollutants (State of Selangor) 2024; and
- Inserting a new provision regarding License Replacement with a replacement License charge of RM100.00
Effects of this amendment to the Licensing Rules:
- All LUAS licensees are still subject to these licensing rules as they are; and
- Holders of the 2012 Pollutant Entry or Discharge License (Selangor State) will continue to be in effect until the license expires and need to renew the license based on the new regulations of Discharge of Return Water, and Entry or Discharge of Waste and Pollutants (State of Selangor) 2024
