Functions and Roles of the Selangor/Bernam Regional Office
- To plan, coordinate and manage river basins in an integrated manner (Integrated River Basin Management, IRBM) to ensure the sustainability of the quantity and quality of water resources and ecosystems.
- To plan, coordinate and manage coastal waters in an integrated manner (Integrated Coastal Management, ICM) to ensure the conservation of water quality and coastal ecosystems.
- Manage technical review services for development/earthworks activities, land reviews, rock material permits as well as feedback on complaints involving water resources in accordance with the LUAS Enactment 1999.
- Coordinate and implement immediate action to control water pollution pollution to ensure that water resources are protected and do not affect the operation of the water supply inlet.
